About Us
Mike Stollmeyer, Owner: Mike is an avid cyclist with a background in road racing. After working in sales and as a mechanic for many years, Mike followed his entrepreneurial passion and opened the Windsor Bicycle Center in 1999. The mission of the Windsor Bicycle continues to be the best all around retail bicycle experience in the North bay.
Elisa Stollmeyer, Owner: Elisa came on to the scene in 2003 with a background in fitness and event coordination. Elisa continues to be a great support for Mike and the Windsor Bicycle Center. You might find Elisa in the shop a bit, but mostly she is behind the scenes. The majority of Elisa’s time is spent teaching the Stollmeyer boys to ride on two wheels!!
Meet the Staff
Doug McKenzie, manager/bicycle guru, awesome guitarist: Doug is an avid cyclist and came to the Windsor Bicycle center with a plethora of knowledge about bicycle mechanics, fitting, and innovative problem solving . Doug breathes bicycling. You can find Doug riding his bike for commuting, recreation, and racing. If you think it can’t be fixed, come see Doug. If Doug isn’t riding his bike, he is happily playing his guitar with the local band the Pulsators.
Howard Hesterberg, Sales/fitting: Howard is a solution specialist. If you have a need, Howard can pinpoint and create a solution to make your life easier and your cycling experience more pleasurable. Howard will find the right bike for you without selling you something you don’t need. Howard makes your experience pleasurable and educational.
Larry Babb, Service Technician: You won’t find a more humble, experienced bicycle mechanic this side of the Rockies. Larry is highly efficient and precise with his mechanics. Larry’s specialties are wheel building, overhauls, and old school innovation.
Chris Monroy, Avid mountain cyclist: Eager to share his passion and wealth of ever growing knowledge. Chris attends high school locally in Windsor and spends his afternoon’s and weekends with the Windsor Bicycle Center team.
Alex Tothe: New to the racing circuit, Alex has already made his name known with several victories. Alex is knowledgeable and a great team member at Windsor Bicycle Center.
